Local Weather
Mostly Sunny & HOT, with a brief shower or two possible.
Fair weather conditions are expected to continue into the beginning of the upcoming week with a minimal chance for shower activity. However, a weak tropical wave is forecast to pass South of the local region later today and tonight, which will cause a few passing showers from time to time over parts of the SSS (and surrounding) Islands. Some of these showers may cause minor street-flooding in certain areas. Otherwise, wind a (warm) breeze with moderate sea conditions will continue throughout the coming days.

  • Winds: are from the East at 8 to 15 miles per hour.
  • Seas: are moderate with wave heights between 3 to 6 feet, with the highest waves in the outer waters.

Tropical Weather
Active Storms: None.
* A broad area of low pressure located near the Yucatan Peninsula has a medium (50%) chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 2 days. However, regardless of development heavy rains will affect areas of Central America, Cuba, and the Cayman Islands today before moving on to South Florida within the next 48 hours. This system does not pose a threat to the SSS (and surrounding) Islands.
* Another area of low pressure located about 1500mi East of the Lesser Antilles has a low (10%) chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 2 days. This system currently poses no threat to any land areas. We will continue to monitor its progress.
