Local Weather
Partly Cloudy with a possible shower or two, during the afternoon hours.
Fair weather is the dominant weather feature today and throughout the weekend. However, moisture in the atmosphere may cause periods of clouds and a few brief showers from time to time -- mainly during the afternoon to overnight hours. Additionally, moderate wind and sea conditions will remain throughout the SSS (St. Maarten-Saba-St. Eustatius) Islands and the Northeastern Caribbean. Boaters and beach-goers should still use caution as wave heights are forecast to increase by Sunday.

  • Winds: are generally from the Northeast at 8 to 15 miles per hour, with occasional higher gusts.
  • Seas: are moderate to fairly choppy with wave heights between 3 to 6 feet -- mainly along the Northern & Eastern shores.

Tropical Weather
Active Storms: None.
* An area of disturbed weather is located about 900mi East & Northeast of the  Lesser Antilles. It has a low (10%) chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within 48 hours, and is forecast to move slowly over the next couple of days.
We will continue to monitor this system.
* The remaining names for the Hurricane Season are: Tammy, Vince, Whitney.

Special Weather
None.
