Fair weather continues to be the dominant feature for the next couple of days. However, moisture in the atmosphere may cause periods of clouds and a few brief showers from time to time -- mainly during the afternoon to overnight hours. Additionally, moderate wind and sea conditions will remain throughout the SSS (St. Maarten-Saba-St. Eustatius) Islands and the Northeastern Caribbean. Boaters and beach-goers should still use caution as seas may become somewhat choppy by this evening and into tomorrow.

  • Winds: are generally from the Northeast at 5 to 15 miles per hour.
  • Seas: are moderate with wave heights between 2 to 5 feet.

* An area of disturbed weather is located to the Northeast of the Caribbean region has a medium (50%) chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within 48 hours. This system is forecast to move further away from the local area and does not pose any threat to any land area.



Special Weather
Volcanic activity at the Soufriere Hills in Montserrat experienced over the weekend has ceased, although pyroclastic flows & small emissions of ash are still possible from time to time.
