Mostly Sunny & HOT with a brief shower or two possible and few showers during the overnight hours.
The area of disturbed weather that has been affecting the local region over the past couple days has moved off to the East. However, lingering moisture may still produce some shower activity from time to time during the next day or two. Meanwhile, the breezy conditions experienced over the weekend have subsided. Additionally, fair weather conditions with spotty showers will open the new workweek.

  • Winds: are generally from the Northeast to East at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
  • Seas: are moderate with wave heights between 2 to 5 feet -- with the highest waves over the Atlantic open waters.

 

 

Special Weather 
At approximately 7:27 last night, an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter Scale struck in Southern Mexico. This noteworthy earthquake had an epicenter located near 18.04 N, 99.80 W -- about 26mi SW of Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico/34mi ESE of Arcelia, Guerrero, Mexico. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, however at least 2 people were killed (so far).
