Mostly Sunny & Windy with a brief shower or two possible throughout the day.
As the cold front continues to move away from the local region, windy conditions left behind it will remain for the remainder of the week throughout the SSS (and surrounding) Islands. Brief shower activity is still possible, due to some lingering moisture in the atmosphere. Otherwise, seas will remain fairly rough today before subsiding later this evening, and is expected to return to normal by weekend. Mariners (especially small boats) are advised to continue using cation over the surrounding waters.
  • Winds: are generally from the East-Northeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour, occasionally gusting up to 25mph.
  • Seas: are moderate to rough with wave heights between 4 to 9 feet -- with the highest waves over the Northern shores.
