Although fair weather seems to be the pattern for the upcoming weekend, brief showers are still expected from time to time as an area of moisture moves across the local region of the SSS Islands (St. Maarten-Saba-St. Eustatius). Windy conditions and rough seas are also included in the forecast for the weekend. Therefore mariners (especially small boat-operators) should use extreme caution when traveling through the surrounding waters.
- Winds: are generally from the East at 10 to 20 miles per hour, occasionally gusting up to 25mph -- mainly in and around showers.
- Seas: are moderate to fairly rough with wave heights between 4 to 8 feet, with the highest waves over the Northern shores.
