Local Weather
Partly Cloudy & Windy with a couple passing showers possible.
A cool and relatively dry air mass has moved into the area due to a cold front that spreads across the Northern Caribbean. However, a brief shower or two is still expected over parts of the SSS (and surrounding) Islands throughout the weekend. Otherwise, seas will continue to be fairly rough at least until Saturday due to the increased winds coming in from the North. All mariners are advised to use caution in the surrounding waters. These above normal winds and seas are forecast to subside by the end of the weekend.

  • Winds: are generally from the Northeast at 8 to 18 miles per hour, occasionally gusting to 25mph.
  • Seas: are moderate to fairly rough with wave heights between 3 to 7 feet -- with the highest waves over the northern shores.
