Local Weather
Partly Sunny & Windy with a brief shower or two possible during the afternoon to evening hours.
A system of high pressure extends across the Atlantic and Northern Caribbean, bringing fair weather to the SSS (and surrounding) Islands for the upcoming holiday weekend. Although no significant rainfall is expected, a brief shower or two is still possible from time to time. Windy conditions, however, will remain until Saturday before subsiding by Sunday. Otherwise, seas will continue to be fairly rough through the weekend -- due to the high winds. Mariners (especially small boats) are advised to continue using caution over the surrounding waters.
  • Winds: are generally from the East-Northeast at 8 to 18 miles per hour, occasionally gusting up to 25mph.
  • Seas: are moderate to fairly rough with wave heights between 3 to 8 feet -- with the highest waves over the Northern shores.
